Accreditations
Teachers at Clann Na Cara are CLRG certified and members in good standing with the following organizations:
- An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG) The Commission of Irish Dancing based in Dublin, IRL. www.clrg.ie
- The Irish Dancing Teachers Assocation of North America (IDTANA) www.idtana.org
- The Mid-Atlantic Region (MAR) www.mid-atlanticregion.com
So...what does all that mean?
The above organizations govern all things Irish dance related. It is through the teachers' certifications (TCRG/ADCRG) that membership to these groups are allowed. We are proud to have five certified intructors, one of which is also a certified adjudicator, teaching at Clann Na Cara. It is this certification that allows students the ability to compete.
Rules and regulations are set forth by the governing bodies listed above on such things as competition, traditional dances, music, movements, qualifications for moving up in levels, and much more. All rules are strictly followed.
