| "Mary Kate, Kathleen, Erin and Jennifer
are accomplished Champion Irish step dancers with many years of competitive and
performing experience amongst them. Their love for Irish dance has been a
driving force in each of their lives, both personally and professionally. As former competitive dancers, the teachers at Clann Na Cara have consistently earned the right to compete in solo dancing at the World Championships in Ireland through qualifying at the regional and national qualifying events they attended annually. In addition, all teachers have represented the country in all areas of team dancing, whether ceili, choreography or dance drama, throughout Ireland and Scotland, making for a very eclectic mix of experience in all genres of Irish dance. Together they started Clann Na Cara to promote Irish heritage and culture. The teachers hope to pass on the tradition of Irish dance, prepare those who wish to compete so they can do so with success and pride, and to create opportunities for everyone to enjoy the experiences that Irish dance offers. Outside the dance-class walls, all four teachers are college graduates with degrees in Education. This shared passion for teaching is a unique and unmatched strength that further adds to the dynamic of the Clann Na Cara school, as well as the overall quality of instruction." |
